The 2014 MTV Video Music Award nominations are here, and it comes as no surprise that Beyonce is leading the pack with a whopping eight nominations, including Best Female, Best Collaboration, Best Video With a Social Message and the coveted Video of the Year.

Iggy Azalea and Eminem follow close behind with seven nods each, with Iggy scoring noms for Video of the Year, Best Female, Best Pop and more, while some of Eminem's nominations include Best Hip-Hop and Best Collaboration.

Of course, tons of our other favorite artists will be battling it out across the categories, including Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Lorde, Sam Smith, Jay Z, Jason Derulo and more.

One surprising shutout? One Direction -- and you better believe that the fans took notice, immediately getting '#WeWantOneDirectionNominatedForTheVmas' to trend on Twitter.

Check out the full list of nominees below, and be sure to keep eye on PopCrush for full coverage of the 2014 VMAs, which air on Aug. 24 at 9PM ET on MTV.
