There is something you will enjoy, no matter what you are into at the Sassafras Festival. The San Augustine Chamber of Commerce puts on this event every year in the over 300 year old town. It's important for them to show that they are proud of their town, and bring potential customers to their downtown businesses.

It's called the sassafras festival, because at one time, San Augustine had the oldest and largest Sassafras tree in Texas. So join them downtown at 100 West Columbia Street for this all day event.
