In case you didn't notice on first glance, those are decorated toilets in the pictures above.  Don't worry, they were bleached and power washed before the decorations began.

The porcelain parade is one of the great attractions at the 2nd Annual Fall Folly presented by AC SPEAKS.  Businesses and organizations spend numerous creative hours in the hope that their potty presentation has what it takes to be judged best overall.

The Fall Folly will be happening Thursday evening from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. in the Angelina College activity center parking lot, and it's free to attend.  Some of the other attractions will include a zombie trail through the nearby trees, costume contest for all ages, pumpkin chunkin', trunk or treating, zip line, rock wall climb, face painting, and numerous food and business vendors, such as:

  • Shorty's Smokehouse
  • Tim's Ice Cream Truck
  • Old Souls Food Truck
  • Altus
  • Total Nutrition
  • Lufkin Fire Department (fire engine and EDITH unit)
  • Harold's House
  • Dream Center (DJ trailer)
  • Carl Farms (bouncy house and barrel train)
  • Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter (bringing some adoptable dogs)

AC SPEAKS is a campus organization that stands for Angelina College Students Preparing & Executing Acts of Kindness & Service.  Attendees Thursday night are asked to make a donation to their favorite decorated toilet in the Potty Parade. All donations will benefit AC student organizations, scholarship funds, and local nonprofit organizations.

A special thanks to AC SPEAKS vice president Sunnie Vailes and president Shannon Groce for joining us on the Merrell in the Morning Show!
