50 Cent has never been one to hold punches. The Queens rapper turned music and TV mogul has had a a longstanding dislike for a primetime competitor of his Starz show Power: Fox's Empire. So of course when news broke that Empire had suffered a dip in their ratings after the Season 3 premiere this past week (Sept. 21), 50 Cent had no problem capitalizing on the moment. After all, numbers don't lie.

"Wow!," wrote Fif under an Instagram post of Empire's declining ratings. "Well, look at the bright side at least. You can eat your 🏆Trophies. I was talking to old girl but you felt like you had to respond. SMH you know I love you cookie 😘 I got a new show for you BMF COMING SOON!!!"

Empire's third season premiere featured hip-hop guest stars like Birdman and French Montana but the return of the Lyons didn't seem to interest viewers at home as it did in years previous. The Wrap reports that the music industry drama dropped 39 percent in ratings among the show's the key demographic of 18-49 year olds versus its sophomore season opener last year.

50 has butted heads with the networks and shows before and he isn't afraid to let it be known. Earlier this week, while he was promoting the upcoming Season 3 finale of Power, the rapper wrote, "Don't miss the POWER finale coming this Sunday. It's funny the EMMY AWARDS came on in the same time slot last week and had its lowest rating. POWERS viewership went up another 6 %. They aint gonna give me🏆but they will give me the bag💰. BMF COMING SOON."

To date, Empire cast and crew has won a number of BET, NAACP and Critic's Choice Awards. The show's star Taraji P. Henson, even won a Golden Globe at the top of the year for her portrayal of Cookie Lyon. Meanwhile, while the drug lord drama of Power keeps growing in viewership, the show has been mainly ignored by award shows.
