A Texas veteran by the name of Walter "Sonny" Bonin has written something quite special. Give his speech a listen.

It's amazing how he dives into the different emotions. Sonny made the conscious effort to put a feminine feel to the north tower in order to bring an almost motherly nature to the inanimate building. In doing so, he easily invokes feelings in the listener.

What makes "The Wish" even more special is that Sonny has never been to New York. He simply feels passionate about the tragic events that took place on September 11th, 2001.

If you listened, you'll notice that his speech doesn't point fingers at anyone, and it's really something people of all backgrounds could get behind. Sonny even contacted the people at the 9/11 memorial museum in New York, and found out that they currently have nothing like his speech there.

You'll also notice that he says, "It's only been 15 years," which is because his goal is to get this speech in front of anyone who will listen in order to maybe get it in front of the right pair of ears that will allow him to give this speech in New York for the 15th anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center.

If you enjoyed his speech, just know this is only the first portion of a two part presentation. The second part is even more inspirational and uplifting.

Sonny was prior Navy, and is now serving as a sergeant in the Army reserves. He developed these presentations for his entries into a Toastmasters competition, and while most presenters of toastmasters are asked to move around and engage the audience, Sonny makes the conscious decision to stand perfectly still, like the iconic building he becomes for the speech. Every sentence and word has been carefully chosen, and the amount of thought he has put into it is staggering. We would like to see Sonny Bonin give this speech in front of the people of New York, and start him on his path to move the world with his words.

Right now, the best we can do is share this touching speech with everyone we know and hope it gets in front of someone who can fly Sonny out to New York to perform in front of those who feel the loss the most. We've got under a year to share this video and see if we can help Sonny with his goals.
