Actress Yvette Wilson, you might remember her as Andell Wilkerson on the 90s sit-com Moesha and its spinoff The Parkers, has died, CNN reports. She was 48.

An L.A. Native Yvette Wilson was having all kinds of medical problems, including but not limited to cervical cancer.  She was also trying to raise funds for a kidney transplant at the time of her passing.

Wilson began her career as a comedian, even appearing on Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam. She had also appeared in a number of films including House Party 3, Friday and Poetic Justice alongside Janet Jackson.

Shar Jackson, Wilson's co-star on Moesha and Kevin Federline's ex-girlfriend, tweeted, "Oh god..... My heart is soooo unbelievably broken...god has chosen to take my sister Yvette home..."

I found a quick clip (first min or so) of some of her old stand up from back in the day. I used to watch Def Comedy Jam and At The Apollo back when she was a regular. Note the language and content is not suitable for kids, but this aired on T.V. so by today's standards it's pretty tame.
