Azealia Banks was overcome with emotion as she discussed the alleged assault she claims to have suffered at the hands of Russell Crowe during a Beverly Hills hotel party earlier this month.

Banks filed a battery report against the Gladiator actor, claiming he choked her, spit on her and called her a racial epithet as he forcibly removed her from his hotel suite during the party. During a new interview with Access Hollywood, the "212" rapper-singer broke down into tears recounting the alleged incident and the skepticism she's received since, regarding the veracity of her story.

"Every time, every time something like this happens I’m always, like, being blamed for wanting this kind of attention," she said. "Like, who the f— wants to tell somebody they got spat on, you know? That’s humiliating. And I’m just like, really, really humiliated.”

Banks continued, saying Crowe lashed out at her after she responded to an insult he made about her career. Then, when asked why Crowe got physical, Banks responded, "Who knows? Maybe it was the moonshine, maybe it was the rejection, maybe it was the jokes."

Crowe has repeatedly denied Banks' accusations through his attorney, saying he had the "212" rapper removed from his room after she threatened to physically assault another guest with a glass. Several attendees -- including Wu-Tang Clan co-founder RZA, who brought Azealia to the party as his plus one -- have corroborated the Les Miserables actor’s version of events.

RZA told TMZ Crowe did spit at Banks, but claimed Crowe didn’t choke her or use a racial slur against her. He also claimed Banks was belligerent, “out of control and violent” when Crowe ejected her from the hotel room.
