Earlier this month, BlackPink made history when they became the first K-pop group to be included in the Coachella lineup. Now, the South Korean group's youngest member Lisa has achieved a person milestone. She has become the most-followed female K-pop star on Instagram with over 13 million followers, recently surpassing Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, who's followed by 12.9 million people.

Even more impressive is the fact that Lisa, who is Thai, created her own handle seven months ago—the girls all shared the BlackPink handle before making individual profiles. The other members have racked up impressive follower numbers too. Jennie has 11.8, Rose has 10.1, and Jisoo has 10 million. All of the ladies are within the top five most-followed female celebrities in Korea.

On a different social media platform, Twitter, a Jade Thirlwall superfan asked the Little Mix singer if she could collab with a K-pop girl group. "a BLACKPINK collab would be pretty amazing," the LM handle replied. And we agree. Lisa, Jennie, Rose and Jisoo already collaborated with Dua Lipa on 2018's "Kiss and Make Up," so a LM project is definitely not outside the realm of possibilities.

Editor's note: An earlier version of this article erroneously referred to Lisa as the "most followed Korean celebrity on Instagram," which is incorrect. Lisa, who is Thai, not Korean, is currently distinguished as the most-followed female K-pop star on Instagram. We sincerely regret the error.
