If you love books and you love butterflies, you are in for a treat very soon. The ribbon cutting for the Books & Butterflies service project at the Nacogdoches Public Library is coming up on October 19th. Everyone is invited to come see the all new Butterfly Garden area that has been completed at the Judy B. McDonald Public Library at 1112 North St.

It's going to happen from 4:30 till 5:30. The 2016-2017 class of Leadership Nacogdoches invites everyone, so bring your friends and family to see this new addition. There will be refreshments and snacks, and fun in the new butterfly garden. This is a very special grand opening, and I am sure they are very proud of this amazing project.

They have carefully thought out all the species of plants, especially flowers, that the butterflies love. Different types of butterflies, prefer different kinds of nectar, so there should be a wide variety. Soon there should be plenty of tiny caterpillars and it will all start all over again. As bugs go, butterfly's are the best, I've never heard of anyone that was scared of a butterfly, but there is always that one kid!
