Random violence and mass shootings are in the news a lot right now. For example Virginia Tech, Tucson, Ariz., or just recently Aurora, Colo., Wisconsin and the Sikh Temple. But what can we do to fix the problem Nationally or here in East Texas?

In honor of Chicken Appreciation Day, Randy Rainbow has published a video that both sides can (hopefully) appreciate.

Tons of East Texan's waited outside and in the drive through of Chick-fil-A's in Lufkin and Nacogdoches. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee dubbed today appreciation day, and basically everyone in line is saying that they agree with the president of Chick-Fil-A's stance against gay marriage.

I know this is crazy!  This video is really catching on, and of course the song by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen, is the most requested song most days here at K-Fox 955.  So why not make the president sing it!

The Angelina County and state primary elections results came in last night, seeing Robert Nichols, Trent Ashby and Greg Sanchez victorious in their respective races.

Have you voted yet? Election officials in Angelina County say more than 5600 people voted early, in the two weeks prior to today’s primary. The race for Angelina County Sheriff is one to watch. On the Republican side voters will choose between Allen Hill and Greg Sanches. Jim Hodges runs unopposed as a Democrat for Sheriff. The polls are open from 7am to 7pm today, so let your voice be heard.

Working for minimum wage is just crazy unacceptable.  It's not a living wage, and did you know that it's set by the state?  Yes if you lived in New York at minimum wage you would make $7.25 an hour, just like here in Lufkin and the rest of Texas...
