In a bit of bizarre casting, Chris Brown, the R&B singer known for beating an ex-girlfriend, has been tapped to co-star in the upcoming romantic comedy ‘Think Like a Man.’

The film is based on comedian and radio host Steve Harvey’s best-selling advice book, ‘Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man.’

In the book, Harvey provides insight into “what men really think about love, relationships, intimacy and commitment” and provides “some valuable information” to help women better deal with men.

Brown, 22, was arrested in 2009 for felony assault on singing star and then-girlfriend Rihanna, and since then has continued to build a reputation for having a short fuse. He’s received attention for his Twitter tirades and earlier this year threw a chair through a dressing-room window at the studios of ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ after show host Robin Roberts questioned him about the Rihanna assault.
