Earth Day at the Zoo will be Saturday April 23rd, starting at 10 AM. The theme this year is Bears, Blooms, and Butterflies. There are going to be lots of things to do during this Earth Day celebration. Try your hand at making your own recycled crafts. How about planting your own native wildflower to take home. You can even pretend to be a Black Bear in the Bear Maze!

Stop by all the different booths from local organizations. On each stop you can learn more about all the different local wildlife. Lots of organizations are coming out to participate in the celebration. Special thanks to all of them for coming out. Lufkin Middle School Eco Club, Black Bear Task Force, Texas Forestry Museum, Angelina Beautiful Clean, City of Lufkin Recycling, Angelina Master Gardeners, Take Care of Texas and many others!

Come out an see how you can keep your environment, here in East Texas, safe for generations by being good stewards of Mother Earth!
