Recently we interviewed Tom Boggs, the owner and proprietor of Old Souls Food Truck in Lufkin, and we learned some interesting things about how he started his business.

If you haven't had any food from Old Souls, you are missing out. Tom has normally got his truck downtown, but shows up to events around town which has sort of made his food truck the most popular in our town.

Tom is one of the most genuine and nice guys you'll ever meet, and we got with him to learn the origins of his food truck.

What is the key to success and longevity?

I just have a simple philosophy. Doing it right, being out there on the streets with the people. I just believe in bringing something that is quality to the streets." - Tom Boggs

Where did you get the initial capital to start Old Souls?

I did one of those things where I paid as I went, so I have to give kudos to my dad. He had done a lot of preparations in his life, and in those preparation, he was able to give some support in what I was doing. When we had opportunities we'd invest smaller chunks as we were going and save up, and that was the way we went."
