Drake's Summer Sixteen Tour is coming to an abrupt end. The Toronto rapper had to cancel the last three shows of his acclaimed tour due to an ankle injury. A spokesperson for Drake announced the cancellation via the following statement:

"Drake suffered a severe ankle injury during the tour which he did his best to power through. By doing this, he made his injury worse. Under doctors orders and to ensure Drake only ever gives fans the performances they deserve, he will be postponing the remaining three dates of his Summer Sixteen tour to allow him time to recuperate his ankle injury. Drake's fans mean the world to him. Seeing their faces and performing his music for them is what he loves to do the most and he can't wait to get back on stage."

The "One Dance" artist was scheduled to run two shows (Oct. 11 and 12) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. He also had an Oct. 15 concert set for the Prudential Center in Newark. All three shows are being officially labeled as postponed, so it appears that Drake will try to reschedule them when possible.

Drake will not have much time to reschedule these shows as The Boy Meets World Tour is scheduled to begin in late January. Unless Drizzy can rebook the Brooklyn and Newwark venues in the next couple months, fans could be waiting until March 2017, at the earliest, to see Drake as they planned.
