If you weren't aware, royalties and residuals are quite common for rappers and actors, respectively. If their work results in hundreds or thousands of replays, they could live off these checks for the rest of their lives. And while Drake has no issues in the wealth department, he could at least eat a meal with what he receives from a show filmed over a decade ago.

On March 31, Drake was sent a check for a measly $8.25, thanking the wildly popular hit series Degrassi for the spike in his income. "Degrassi money still coming in don't sleeeeeeeep..." he wrote on Instagram in reference to the Canada-based coming-of-age series. For many, the Six God was originally introduced as teen actor Aubrey Graham, who was infamously shot on the show while playing Jimmy Brooks, a basketball star-turned-rapper (shout to Wheelchair Jimmy). Drake played Jimmy for eight straight seasons, exiting the show after deciding he wanted to pursue music seriously.

In other news related to his past, Drizzy has many speculating he'll drop a sequel to Take Care, his 2011 Grammy Award-winning album (which just so happens to be Lil Yachty's favorite Drake LP). Yesterday (July 17), the More Life rapper posted a photo eerily similar to the Take Care cover, leaving many to conclude Take Care 2 isn't so far-fetched—especially after he's dropped three new songs in the past month, which include a remix to PartyNextDoor's "Freak in You," Metro Boomin's "No Complaints" with Offset, and his latest solo effort, "Signs."
