Help Lufkin High School STEM students raise money for endangered animals.

It is a little know fact, in my opinion what Ellen Trout Zoo actually does. They are a part of a bigger zoological association. They are a conservator for many endangered species, that are almost extinct in the wild. Help the Lufkin High School raise money for these programs, in hopes that one day these animals will no longer be on this list.

Come out to the Ellen Trout Zoo and help out some of these amazing animals on Endangered Species Day, Saturday Sept 23rd from 10am - 2pm. By making a donation of 50 cents or more, you can help your favorite LHS STEM conservation team raise the most money for their endangered animal.

What ever team you are for, Team Gorilla, Team Rhino, Team Tamarin, or Team Tiger be assured that you are helping a worthy cause. There will be lots of things to do, you can enjoy making animal masks, listen in on Zoo Keeper talks, and learn how local zoos like ours participate in global conservation.

You can check the Ellen Trout Zoo Facebook Page for more details, and check back Monday to see which team wins.

Cost is just regular admission with an optional 50 cent donation.
