Equine therapy is an amazing thing.  This is the first time I had heard of the Seasons of Hope Center in Lufkin.  Sounds like an great place.  I have some more details, but they also have a very important and immediate need.

They need some size 16 slacks, shorts and/or capris for one of the participants.  If you can provide this need please call or email back to them and they will set up a time for you to bring them out.

They could also use the following:

Food of all types

  • Meats
  • Fresh & frozen veggies
  • Bread
  • Milk
  • Coffee/tea
  • Dry or canned goods
  • Condiments

Dorm

  • Wardrobes for storing clothes

Farm equipment

  • Hay
  • Hay rings
  • Feed
  • Tack
  • Hay pitch forks
  • Tractor
  • Bush hog (mower)
  • Commercial type mower
  • Garden tools/yard tools

The Seasons of Hope Center program is a one year entry program designed to help individuals find a meaningful answer to the problems, habits, and conflicts which control them.

Women eighteen years of age or older who have a sincere desire to seek answers to their spiritual, emotional, and physical problems.

Seasons of Hope Center is concerned with the “total person”. The program structure is aware of each person’s spiritual, mental, physical, social, and educational needs.

Seasons of Hope deals with the individual’s problem as symptoms which relate to deeper problems and conflicts. Zeroing in on a person’s spiritual need is when and where real healing in that life begins. Instead of copping out they find, through the life of Christ, the changing power which gives the ability to cope with problems and live a more effective life.
