James Gunn recently said that we probably won’t get to see the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 footage from Comic-Con anytime soon, but what about the trailer? Using logic and a little deductive reasoning, the answer seems pretty obvious. Marvel usually drops the first teaser trailer for a new film about six months ahead of its release date; the Guardians sequel hits theaters in May; Doctor Strange hits theaters in November. According to Kevin Feige, we’re probably right about this.

Collider caught up with Feige after the Marvel panel at Comic-Con, where he spoke a bit about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Baby Groot and when we might see the first trailer. Although he was predictably dodgy at first, Feige ultimately said we could probably expect to see the trailer in the next few months; more specifically, when the next Marvel Studios film hits theaters.

That’d be Doctor Strange, which arrives on November 4. It’s a fairly obvious and not-at-all surprising choice, but if you’ve been hoping we’d see the first trailer before November, then Feige just gave you permission to stop holding your breath.

Although the Comic-Con reel won’t be online anytime soon, Gunn did say that we’d eventually see it once the effects are 100 percent complete — which means some of that footage could pop up in the trailer.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 features the return of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan and Michael Rooker. New additions include Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha and Kurt Russell as Ego, the living planet — aka Star-Lord’s dad. The film hits theaters on May 5, 2016.
