Carly Rae Jepsen Did the 'Fuller House' Theme for Netflix

Netflix’s Fuller House has has a rough go of early teasers for its 2016 premiere, first the existential horror of an abandoned Tanner home, then the existential horror of Kimmy, DJ and Steph dancing the Nae Nae, so call Carly Rae Jepsen, maybe? The pop singer has confirmed her voice behind a remake of the classic Full House theme for Netflix, finally answering whatever happened to predictability.

The “Call Me Maybe” singer herself tweeted out the news, which itself thankfully overwrites the first teaser’s possibility of a new song altogether, or worse, Silento’s earworm. And for those of you confused by Jepsen’s language, the singer is confirmed to be covering the original “Everywhere You Look” song by Jesse Frederick, rather than a new theme.

In Fuller House, the adventures that began in 1987 on Full House continue, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) recently widowed and living in San Francisco. D.J.’s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona (Soni Nicole Bringas), all move in to help take care of D.J.’s three boys — the rebellious 12-year-old Jackson (Michael Champion), neurotic 7-year-old Max (Elias Harger) and her newborn baby, Tommy Jr (Messitt Twins).
