On June the 10th 12 noon - 6 pm there will be a  fundraiser for cancer survivor Angy Falcon. Help out with her expenses and enjoy live music, a fish fry, bounce houses and more.

Angy's best friend and sister Marlynda reached out to me so I could let you know about the fundraiser, and why Angy needs our help.

Near the start of 2014 Angy was diagnosed with CML (Chronic Myeloid Leukemia), a rare ,but treatable, form of cancer. She won the battle for her life while raising her two children, now 13 and 16 year old, as a single parent. She is a fighter, softball was her passion, and she used to play on the coed "Hit This" team. Now to weak to play, but glad to have her life, Angy has medical bills that she could really use our help with.

So instead of just asking for money, Marlynda and all of Angy's friends are throwing one heck of a party.  Angy was raised on Zydeco and Classic Rock so the event had to showcase some great local artists in those genres.

The Phil Ebarb Band will headline the benefit, and newcomers Marissa Lynn and The C&R Band will also perform in Huntington at Centennial Park.  There will be a fish fry, silent auctions, bake sale, and bounce houses for the kids, to add to the celebration.

All the proceeds from the event will go to Angy Falcon.
