Teacher Threatens to Reveal ‘Game of Thrones’ Spoilers If Students Don’t Behave
Here’s one way to get your students to settle down: in Belgium, a group of students who also happen to be big ‘Game of Thrones‘ fans, were acting a bit too rowdy in the classroom, so their teacher had a brilliant idea. If they didn’t behave, he was going to start dropping massive ‘Game of Thrones’ spoilers, including the major deaths of characters one by one until they learned their lesson. Maybe we should take a hint from this guy.
According to the NY Daily News, the story was spread on Facebook by several of the students, who posted about their teacher’s unique punishment technique. When they wouldn’t quiet down, their instructor asked how many of them were fans of the HBO series ‘Game of Thrones,’ to which the majority of them raised their hands. He responded, “Well I have read all the books and from now on when there is too much noise I will write the name of the next death.”
The teacher wrote the names of the characters on a board, intending to make good on his ‘Game of Thrones’ spoilers promise should his students not behave. One student commented, “I can tell you there was a religious silence during the last lesson.” We imagine so — ‘Game of Thrones’ spoilers are kind of a huge deal, and for those who haven’t read the books, finding out who’s next to die could feel like a traumatic event. It’s the kind of cruel torture Joffrey would love.
So let this be a lesson to students everywhere: be quiet, or your teacher might start spoiling ‘Game of Thrones.’
