Seems like Google is teaching Amazon some manners when it comes to their smart devices.

If you've ever caught yourself saying 'please' or 'thank you' to your digital assistant, you're finally going to get the recognition you deserve-- at least if you're using a Google Home product according to Tech Crunch.

I have Google Home Smart Speaker w/ Google Assistant in my home and I tried it for myself.  I said "Hey Google, please set a timer for 10 minutes," and my Google Assistant responded with "Thanks for asking so nicely! 10 minutes, starting now."

You don't have to be polite, though, the assistant will still work for you if you're not so nice.

Google first told the world about the feature, which they call "Pretty Please," back in May and Amazon rolled out an almost identical feature for its Alexa back in April of this year.
