Update, 6/30: Britney's latest Twitter update is very "I'll be over here, keeping it moving" — in fact, only the switched up #YouWantAPieceofMe hashtag confirms that this is (some fairly sunny) shade toward Iggy. A classy move, in our opinion. Thoughts?

6/29:
Remember when Iggy Azalea decided to take a break from social media, handing all of her accounts over to her team to deal with instead? She eventually reclaimed control of her Twitter, but maybe that wasn't such a great idea.

Iggy's song with Britney Spears, "Pretty Girls," didn't do as well as anticipated. But it's hard for a song to deliver when it's hyped as much as "Pretty Girls" was, right? In any case, these things happen, but most artists don't draw attention to their material that flops — at least not until time has put a comfortable distance between the past and the present. But Iggy Azalea isn't most artists, so she wrote about the song's poor charting on Twitter, subtly implying that Britney didn't do her fair share of promo. Ouch.

To be fair, Iggy never explicitly blamed Britney, but she hinted that she wasn't willing to perform the song live, hence stunting its visibility in the public sphere. She tweeted, "its difficult to send a song up the charts without additional promo and tv performances etc. unfortunately im just featured..."

Are those ellipses toward the end of the tweet a passive aggressive hit at Britney? Or merely an indication of Twitter's 140-character limitation? Perhaps both.

At any rate, Iggy was not "just featured" on "Pretty Girls." The credit is right there on the single's cover, listed as "Britney Spears & Iggy Azalea" — and rumors abounded that Iggy fought hard to remove the "Feat." from an earlier version of the art. Back in March the rapper even said she was co-directing the video, which is unusual for any "featured" artist, to say the least. She appears to be backpedaling now.

She continued, "i would have enjoyed performing it alot, i think it got off to a powerful start. but you need content to compete in 2015." She then went on, evidently intent on sabotaging her own career with the help of Twitter, writing, "my comment is factual, it applies to any song. I dont have to suck the womans asshole 24/7 to be her friend, do i? bye girls."

Yikes, Iggy.
