UPDATE:

Jaden Smith's newest effort Syre: The Electric Album is now available on iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Less than a year after the release of Syre, Jaden Smith drops a new version of the album, featuring "electric" renditions of some of the songs on the original project. Dubbed, Syre: The Electric Album, Smith premiered the updated version of Syre on his Instagram page on Sunday night (June 13).

For now, the project only appears on Instagram and includes five of the original 17 songs. Short clips of new versions of "Icon" and "Lost Boy" can be heard on Smith's Instagram page, while the full versions of the songs can be heard in his new Instagram TV videos.

The tracks featured on Syre: The Electric Album appear to be stripped down versions of the original songs, while a separate Instagram post states, "Syre: The Electric Album In Its Original 432hz Format.

Smith's latest project arrives a few days after he dropped the visuals for the song "Ghost." Believed to be the lead single from the rapper's next album, the "Ghost" visuals find Smith roaming the streets of Tokyo with his crew. While a release date has yet to be confirmed, Smith previously revealed his sophomore album, ERYS, would be dropping in 2018.
