Your time’s up, Go Set a Watchman. Exit at the next stop, The Girl on the TrainThe written word’s new hero is James Franco, who’s penned a 100-page book about about Lana Del Rey that you can read next spring, if you want to. Feeling the heat, Tolstoy?

Penguin Random House

Flip-Side: Real and Imaginary Conversations with Lana Del Rey, a collaboration between Franco and David Shields, will officially be available for purchase on March 15, 2016, according to Penguin Random House. On the cover above are snapshots of the “Video Games” singer with Franco, alone on the beach and dueling (maybe) with a friend in the tide.

It’s not the first time Franco has set his literary sights on Rey. In September 2014, V published a piece by Franco that sang the praises of the melancholy pop star, and lauded her for her unconventional performance technique.

“This is an essay about Lana Del Rey,” it says. “Lana has become my friend. She is a musician who is a poet and a video artist. She grew up on the East Coast but she is an artist of the West Coast. When I watch her stuff, when I listen to her stuff, I am reminded of everything I love about Los Angeles. I am sucked into a long gallery of Los Angeles cult figurines, and cult people, up all night like vampires and bikers.”

Think you’ll add Flip-Side to your reading list? Which is cultier: vampires or bikers? Sound off in the comments.
