Looks like music icon, Janet Jackson, is gearing up to drop some new music soon.

Jackson, who confirmed to Billboard back in May that she's working a new project, was spotted shooting footage for a new video in Brooklyn on Monday (July 23).

Oddly, there was no music being played during the shoot, but that didn't stop Jackson and her dancers from getting their groove on. Jackson, who was rocking a colorful ensemble that included a bright green headscarf and yellow belt, was surrounded a quartet of dancing men as she sashayed down the street, wearing her signature smile.

It's not clear if she was just getting the choreography down or if she was actually shooting the video for real, though TMZ did spy a cameraperson in the mix, alluding to it being the former.

There's been no announcement on when Jackson's new project will arrive, however, if this shoot is any indication, something should be dropping soon. It will be her first project since 2015's Unbreakable.

"I'm not trying to avoid the question and be secretive, but the truth is that I don’t try to analyze the creative process while it’s still ongoing," Jackson said of her upcoming album in her May interview with Billboard. "I'm very intuitive about writing."

Jackson is currently on the tail end of her State of the World tour, which closes out on August 12 in San Francisco’s Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park. She kicked off the tour in early July, with a dynamic performance at the Essence Fest in New Orleans, where she headlined.
