Jennifer Lopez Shocks Us With Official Announcement About Quitting American Idol

Steven Tyler quit American Idol officially yesterday, just after Jennifer Lopez's appearance on the Today Show where she said she was not  was not sure about her future on American Idol.  But now she is.  No more American Idol for J-LO.  Apparently Jennifer was just waiting to give the scoop to fellow American Idol employee and host Ryan Seacrest on his morning radio show saying, "The time has come."

Jennifer said she had lots projects going on all at once that complicate her life and "something had to give."  "I Honestly feel like the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things I do that I put on hold because I love Idol so much."  She added, "We had an amazing run."

She was also asked about if she would return as a guest on the show, and she said she would be open to it.
