It's been less than a week since music icon Prince's untimely death, and tributes continue to pour in as the music world reels over the enormous and sudden loss. The latest comes from longtime fan Jessie J, who performed a dutiful rendition of what is arguably Prince's most recognizable song, "Purple Rain."

Her cover wasn't meant as a remembrance when she originally performed it -- Jessie performed "Purple Rain" on World AIDS day last December in honor of Bono's ONE/(RED) campaign's 10-year anniversary. But ONE uploaded and released the emotional video clip online a day after Prince's death, making it a fitting tribute nonetheless, especially considering the magnitude of Jessie J's love for the late artist.

If you dig far enough into the archives of her Instagram, you'll scroll past several "Purple Rain" rehearsal videos she posted while preparing for the show:

The "Domino" singer has made several Prince-related posts on Instagram since his passing, including a video of herself crying while playing piano with a caption that reads, "I said goodbye and thank you in the best way I know how today. We never met, but my soul will always be full and forever inspired because of the musical risks and the genius artistry you created. God bless your soul."
