Say it ain't so. This relationship started off hard and heavy, but I imagine life on the road and apart was just too much for this VERY young couple.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have broken up. A source close to the celebrity pair has confirmed that they've gone their separate ways.

Busy schedules and long periods away from one another are reportedly the primary reasons for the split, which happened about a week ago.

Bieber, who's 18, and 20-year-old Gomez confirmed they were a couple in early 2011, though they'd been rumored to be an item for several months beforehand.
