Do you belieb in a thing called love? Over the weekend, Justin Bieber sneakily dropped a surprise new collaboration song on Drake's OVO Sound Radio show, a track which features none other than Bieber's ex-girlfriend, pop princess Selena Gomez.

Cue the mass freak-out.

"Strong" (the track's rumored title) is a slow-burning, mid-tempo jam, with flourishes of acoustic guitar and light R&B beats that effortlessly cradle the singers' lovelorn vocals and intimate lyrics. It's hazy and sensual, sad and hopeful all at once. And while Justin and Selena might not be an (official) item anymore, the ex-lovers' duet paints another picture, one of lingering feelings and plaintive longing for one another.

“There’s no sophistication in my lack of patience / I’m just wishing you were better at communication / As I sit here steady waiting / Wishing that you would call my name in,” Selena laments in the brooding opening of the track, Justin later emotionally asking in falsetto, "What should I do? Should I go? / Who do I talk to? Nobody knows..."

Overall, the song comes from a much more grown-up perspective than past tracks, indicating a level of maturity and understanding from both artists. In a strange way, "Strong" almost sounds like the two have truly come to terms with their past and have embraced the pain of their (seemingly) doomed love. Take a listen below:

Justin Bieber's Purpose album is due out November 13, but there's no word yet on whether or not this track will be included on the track-listing.
