Katy Perry's Teenage Dream album is big. Like ginormous. It's was released in August of 2010 and it's already spawned five number one hits in Teenage Dream, California Gurls, Firework, E.T. and Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.). Having five number one songs off of one album is almost unheard of... especially from a sophomore effort. But Katy is poised to break more records. According to Wikipedia and several other sources:

With fifth single "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" topping the Hot 100 chart, the milestone gives Katy Perry the title of the only woman in the 53-year history of Billboard to have five songs from the same album at No. 1 on the Hot 100. Before that, onlyMichael Jackson had won the feat with the album, Bad, between the years 1987 to 1988.

Now, I'm all for breaking records. I'm also extremely pro woman. Seriously, hear me roar! But I'm not sure I want to see Michael Jackson's record broken. Especially so soon after seeing his dead, naked body on a gurney during the Dr. Conrad Murray trial. On the other hand, I dig Katy and I really like her latest single The One That Got Away. In short, I'm torn. What do you think? Go Katy? Or would you rather preserve Michael's title as the King of Pop for just a little bit longer?
