In August, Kendrick Lamar confirmed a theory claiming his DAMN. album could be played in reverse and still create an entire story. Now, K. Dot is taking his storytelling one step further and will release a special edition of DAMN., which features the tracklist in reverse.

The new project was leaked by the Microsoft online music marketplace, which features a listing for DAMN. COLLECTORS EDITION. Instead of the album starting off with "BLOOD." and then going into "DNA." and "YAH.," the project will now kickoff with "DUCKWORTH." and then go into "GOD." and "FEAR." Along with reversed tracklist, the collector's edition of DAMN. also includes a new black-and-white cover featuring Kendrick sporting a white T-shirt that reads "DAMN."

Earlier this year, while discussing the album, Kendrick told MTV News, “I think like a week after the album came out, [fans] realized you can play the album backwards. It plays as a full story and even a better rhythm. It’s one of my favorite rhythms and tempos within the album. It’s something that we definitely premeditate while we’re in the studio.”

He added, “I don’t think the story necessarily changes, I think the feel changes. The initial vibe listening from the top all the way to the bottom is... this aggression and this attitude. You know, ‘DNA,’ and exposing who I really am. You listen from the back end, and it’s almost the duality and the contrast of the intricate Kendrick Lamar. Both of these pieces are who I am.”

A release date for the new collector's edition album has yet to be revealed.
