Back in January, Kodak Black challenged Lil Wayne to a fight, claiming that whoever won would take home the title of Best Rapper Alive. The bout obviously never happened, but some 10 months later, the two rappers have apparently recorded a track together. The former XXL Freshman played a snippet of the track during a recent show.

In the clip, Kodak bounces across the stage as Weezy's verse begins playing over the loud speakers. It sounds like Kodak handles the hook, but we don't get to hear much of it after Weezy's verse stops playing. From what we can tell, though, it sounds pretty dope.

Kodak is now just a little over a week removed from dropping his F.E.M.A. project with Plies, and it looks like he's got no plans to stop making waves in the rap game. Some of those waves began reaching new heights around the time he challenged Weezy to that aforementioned fight at the top of 2017.

"Ay listen here man. Tell Lil Wayne fight me, know what I'm saying," Kodak said in an Instagram video at the time. "We finna get in the ring, we finna fight—me and Lil Wayne. I'm finna knock that stupid ass nigga out. And if he whoop me, he the best rapper alive, ya heard me?"

He continued, "Tell Lil Wayne fight me in the ring. And I'm gon' beat his stupid ass and I bet everything on it. Since Soulja Boy and Chris Brown doing it, I don't even need no trainer. I don't need Floyd Mayweather, Adrien Broner," Kodak continued. "I'm finna beat Lil Wayne stupid ass, watch!"

While it would have been easy to take Kodak's fight request literally, it could also have been seen as him simply staking his claim for being the world's best rapper, a title many believe Weezy held for a long time. The challenge also came about back when Chris Brown and Soulja Boy were going to be in a boxing match.

In any case, that's in the past now. Check out a snippet of Kodak's track with Weezy below.
