Lady Gaga is putting her money where her mouth is.  After speaking out against bullying, and preaching self-confidence for all her Little Monsters, she's set up a foundation based on those very principles.  The Born This Way Foundation, established in partnership with Harvard University, The California Endowment and the MacArthur Foundation, will empower youth by offering "mentoring and career development," and focusing on "issues like self-confidence, well-being [and] anti-bullying."  Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, will be the directors of the foundation.

The foundation's website, which is now live, states, "This Way, Towards Bravery Where Youth Are Empowered.  This Way, Towards Acceptance Where Humanity is Embraced.  This Way, Towards Love Where Individuality is Encouraged."  There's also a place where people can submit their email addresses to "take the pledge and become part of the movement."  The pledge states, "I, NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS, was Born This Way."

In a statement, Gaga called the foundation "a passion project," and added, "Together we hope to establish a standard of Bravery and Kindness, as well as a community worldwide that protects and nurtures others in the face of bullying and abandonment.

The official launch for the Born This Way Foundation will be next year, and an advisory board will be announced soon.
