Laugh Out Loud – Comedian Paul Reiser Coming To Lufkin

Paul Reiser, comedian, actor, television personality, author, screenwriter and musician, will have you in stitches with a Night of Comedy at the Temple Theater on Friday, October 5th, 2012 at 7:30 pm. Although most widely known for his role on the long-running television sitcom Mad About You, Paul will deliver big laughs doing one of the things he enjoys the most – stand-up comedy. In 2004, Comedy Central’s list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time notably included Paul Reiser. Angelina Arts Alliance has the remaining tickets on sale for this event at the Temple Theater box office—and all tickets previously purchased for Paul Reiser’s original show date will be honored. Limited copies of Paul’s books will be available for signing after the show.

For his work in Mad About You, Reiser received nominations for an Emmy, a Golden Globe, an American Comedy Award, and a Screen Actors Guild award. Reiser has also written three books: Couplehood, about the ups and downs of being in a committed relationship; Babyhood, about his experiences as a first-time father; and Familyhood, a collection of humorous essays. Couplehood was unique in the fact it started on page 145. Reiser explained this as his way of giving the reader a false sense of accomplishment. Both books appeared on The New York Times bestseller list. Paul Reiser, along with fellow funnyman Pat Hazell, are presented by the Angelina Arts Alliance, and sponsored by A Friend of the Arts.
