Shocker!  Lindsay Lohan is going back  to jail.  A Los Angeles County superior court judge today sentenced the actress to 30 days in jail for failing to honor the terms of her probation for previous DUI and theft convictions.  Judge Stephanie Sautner ordered Lohan to surrender November 9.

Unlike previous celebrity sentences, Judge Sautner declared Lohan will have to serve the entire 30 days of her sentence behind bars -- no early release and no house arrest -- although she did add, “other than that required by the law.”  In other words, if the sheriff determines the notoriously overcrowded L.A. county jail needs fewer inmates, Lindsay could conceivably be released before she's served the full sentence.

After Lohan's released, she must return to completing her community service at the L.A. County Morgue, working there no fewer than 12 days a month.  She'll also have to undergo court-ordered therapy.  While she does so, she can't leave the country and can only leave the state with prior approval from her probation officer.

Should Lindsay again fail to honor the terms of her probation, she'll be sent back to jail -- this time for 270 days.  I think perhaps spending Christmas in jail would be fitting.
