You would think since I'm in the music/entertainment industry that I would see just about every movie that comes out.

That's far from the truth! But, after seeing the list of the five biggest movies of the summer I've impressed myself because I saw three of the top five!

If you were to read my bio, you would learn that I don't often go to the movies, but apparently this summer I had plenty of time because I saw three really great movies and each of them were among the top 5 biggest box office earners of the year according to Variety. Rentrak reported box office ticket sales this summer exceeded $4.48 billion dollars, which was up ten percent from last year.

The top five domestic films for the summer of 2015 were:

1. Jurassic World - $647.5 million
2. Avengers: Age of Ultron - $457.8 million
3. Inside Out - $349.6 million
4. Minions - $329.8 million
5. Pitch Perferct 2 - $183.8 million

So there are the top five movies for the summer of 2015. Of those I can say I saw Jurassic World, Avengers: Age of Utron and Minions! I saw these three movies mostly in part because of my daughter, who is a huge Jurassic Park series fan and loves the Minions.

Of the top five movies, let me know which one was your favorite by letting me know in the comment section below.
