Dum-da-dum-dum, Dum-da-dum-dum-dummmm.

You know, it's tough to spell out the rhythm of the Theme Song from Dragnet.  But, it seemed appropriate with what's about to go down in the City of Lufkin.

Beginning Friday, February 10th, more than 300 law enforcement agencies across Texas will be concentrating their efforts to address non-compliance with court orders. If you do not resolve your tickets now, you may be subject to arrest.

As part of this statewide initiative, the Lufkin Municipal Court is offering amnesty on warrant fees if individuals come to court to address their outstanding obligations. Individuals who voluntarily come to court may request to see a judge to have warrant fees on their cases waived.

The state-wide warrant round up will be conducted from Saturday, February 25th through Sunday, March 5th. During those dates, the Lufkin Municipal Court will be open the following dates and times: Saturday, February 25th, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., and Monday, February 27th, through Wednesday, March 1st, from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Thursday, March 2nd, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Friday, March 3rd, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

If you are stopped while driving your vehicle and arrested, your vehicle may be impounded, which would result in additional tow and storage fees. Affected persons are urged to contact the Lufkin Municipal Court during the next two weeks to dispose of their cases voluntarily to avoid the inconvenience and embarrassment of arrest at home or work in front of family, friends, or co-workers.

Please take care of your tickets now to avoid arrest. If you voluntarily appear to take care of your tickets with Lufkin Municipal Court, you will not be arrested.
