Lufkin PD: Man in Critical Condition Following Early Morning Home Break-In

The Lufkin Police Department (LPD) is investigating an incident that occurred this morning at 708 Schuller, resulting in the severe stabbing of a man.   

According to a release from the LPD, dispatchers received the call at 5:53 a.m. from a woman who stated that the father of her children was breaking out the windows of her home and damaging vehicles in the driveway. She said he then busted through the door and began fighting with her boyfriend.

The woman's boyfriend stabbed the man during the disturbance, following the break-in.

The man, whose name is not being released at this time, was taken to CHI St. Luke's Memorial Health Lufkin where he remained in critical condition as of 8 a.m.

The incident remains under investigation and no arrests have been made.
