Make Sure And Put On You Seatbelt – It Will Save Your Life!

Over the years I have done many things in conjunction with the DPS and the The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) with the Click It Or Ticket Campaign.  I have heard first hand stories of many people that wouldn't be here today without them, including myself!

As Lufkin kicks off the annual Click it or Ticket seat belt enforcement campaign, TxDOT in conjunction with local law enforcement agencies would like to remind motorists to wear seat belts. Texas law now requires everyone in a vehicle to be secured by a seat belt. Officials especially want pickup truck drivers and passengers to get the message.

To make this happen, state troopers, will join police officers and sheriffs’ deputies statewide during a stepped-up enforcement period between May 21 and June 3, including the Memorial Day holiday weekend, to ticket drivers and passengers who aren’t buckled up.
