It’s Halloween and that you know what that means. Buying lots of candy, pretending it’s for children, and then eating it all yourself. Oh, and also horror films. Lots and lots of horror films. But what horror films should you watch?

That’s where our new series, On Demand With ScreenCrush, comes in. Every two weeks, ScreenCrush Editor-in-Chief Matt Singer joins you to recommend three handpicked new titles you can watch at home right now from Movies on Demand. These are big new releases you won’t find streaming on Netflix, and the choices run the gamut from indie favorites, to major blockbusters, to insightful documentaries, and everything in between — all available with your remote.

In our seventh installment, we’ve got scares galore. Monsters that only come out when the lights are off! A social media game with increasingly dangerous stakes! A Woody Allen movie! (All right, that last movie may not be that terrifying, unless you’ve got an irrational phobia about Los Angeles circa the 1930s.) Whether you’re looking for a scary movie to celebrate Halloween, or something a little bit lighter, this episode has it all — and they’re all available for you On Demand.

On Demand With ScreenCrush is a brand new original series about the world of movies. This is our seventh episode, but we’ll be back with a new show in two weeks. Plus, we want your feedback. What are you watching On Demand this month? Which 2016 releases are you looking forward to seeing again? What did you think of our recommendations? Let us know, and don’t forget to subscribe to the ScreenCrush YouTube channel below to catch all our future episodes.
