East Texas is full of opportunities to hike and paddle and make the most of spring, and there's a new website that just launched that will help plan the ultimate outdoorsy weekend.

Whether you're walking or strapping the kayak or bike to the SUV, EastTexasOutdoors.org wants to be the place you use most to plan your adventure.

They break down all of the recreational opportunities by region, and Lufkin and Nacogdoches are in the Central East Region which includes an area bordered by Rusk County to the north, Henderson to the West, and Panola to the east.

Some of the Angelina County trails listed include Angelina College Forest Fitness Trail, the Angelina National Forest, and Lufkin Azalea Trail.  They'll also take our recommendations about other trails that we love and are ready to share with the world.

We have another few months before it's too hot to go outside, so get out and enjoy the trails and fishing spots while you can this spring. We'll be in the 70s through the weekend -- perfect for when you need a break from the couch and that NCAA tournament.
