After endorsing 6ix9ine with a guest verse on his latest single, Nicki Minaj has invited the legally embattled rapper to join her upcoming world tour with Future. She announced the booking on Instagram today (July 24).

Tekashi will serve as one of three openers on the 51-show run across North America and Europe. The other two acts have not yet been announced. The tour kicks off in Baltimore on Sept. 21.

The "Gotti" rapper dropped "Fefe" with Nicki on Sunday (July 22) after rumors swirled about a collaboration between the two New Yorkers. Hours after the release, 6ix9ine was hospitalized after being robbed outside his home, but he appears to be in good health.

It's less clear how the spitter's legal troubles will impact his ability to tour. Tekashi was arrested earlier this month in New York after completing a tour in Europe and faces charges in Texas for allegedly choking a 16-year-old boy at a shopping mall. He also stands accused of assaulting a police officer in New York.

During 6ix9ine's first court appearance for the Texas allegations, a judge scolded the artist for leaving the country while dodging an outstanding arrest warrant, as well as for continuing to get arrested in violation of the still-uncompleted terms of his 2015 plea agreement for a sex crime involving a 13-year-old girl.

Nicki's new album Queen is scheduled for release on Aug. 10. Future dropped his latest mixtape BeastMode 2 on July 6.
