The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards are going down this Sunday Aug. 28 at Madison Square Garden with the channel just announcing that Nicki Minaj will be joining Future and Ty Dolla $ign as a performer. Minaj will take the stage with Ariana Grande as the two perform "Side to Side" off Grande's Dangerous Woman, which dropped in May.

While Minaj isn't nominated this year, Grande pops up in five categories, including Best Female Video and Best Pop Video. At the 2015 VMAs, Nicki called out host Miley Cyrus for comments she made about her in the press leading up to the show. "Miley, what's good?" she famously said after accepting the award for Best Hip-Hop Video for "Anaconda." Nicki as well performed that night with Taylor Swift, the two running through  "Trini Dem Girls," "The Night Is Still Young" and "Bad Blood" during their set.

MTV additionally announced today that Diddy, Jaden Smith, Alicia Keys, Kim Kardashian West and Shameik Moore will be among the evening's presenters.

Musically, Nicki has been relatively quiet lately, appearing on DJ Khaled's "Do You Mind" in July. She will likely be featured on Meek Mill's Dreamchasers 4 mixtape when that drops in September, a snippet of "Froze" a track with her, Meek and Lil Uzi Vert teased back in June.

The 2016 VMAs start at 9 p.m. EST with Drake, Desiigner, Kanye West, Beyoncé, Bryson Tiller, Rihanna, The Weeknd, Chance The Rapper, 2 Chainz and Chris Brown all nominated.
