After previous reports stated Nicki Minaj would be testifying during her brother's child rape trial, a new report claims the rapper will no longer take the stand.

According to TMZ, sources close to The Pinkprint rapper say she won't be involved in any way with her brother Jelani Maraj's court case. Maraj is accused of raping an 11-year-old girl, his stepdaughter at the time.

It's believed Nicki never had plans to take the stand, and her brother's legal team was the one telling media outlets she would. Asked by TMZ if Nicki would indeed still be testifying, Maraj's attorney said, "I have no idea, we'll see."

Previous reports claimed Nicki would be testifying that the alleged victim's mother had tried to extort her for millions. Maraj's lawyer reportedly claimed the mom tried to "shake down" Minaj for $25 million to "make the charges go away."

In related Nicki Minaj news, the rapper recently clapped back at blogs and television shows for misquoting her. According to Nicki, the comments came after various sites claimed she said she "made female rappers mainstream" during an interview with XXL.

"I see ppl remixing my words so let me post 'exactly' what I said for the intelligent ones in the back," she wrote. "Now, if you can find the part where I said 'I made female rappers mainstream', I'll give you $100,000.00. 😅 blogs & tv shows don't care to do actual research these days, they only care about what grabs your attention... at anyone's expense."

During our original interview, Nicki said she broke into the hip-hop scene when there "wasn't a big female rap presence," so her role was "reintroducing the female rapper to pop culture." Nicki went on to say she aligned herself with "a lot of brands," which proved that female rappers could sell products.

Nicki Minaj has yet to comment on her bother's trial.
