Once Upon A Mattress – Lufkin High School Theather First Performace Tonight

I love a good musical, with singing, dancing, and acting.  Here are the details, and I hope you can come and enjoy some culture some time in the next 4 days.  They really have lots of showtimes!

The musical comedy, with music by Mary Rodgers, lyrics by Marshall Barer and book by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller, and Marshall Barer, was written as an adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale The Princess and the Pea. The show permits a large cast, a large crew, a large dance, a large orchestra, and a large set, perfect for the still-new Tom Jack Lucas Auditorium.

Students from all departments of Lufkin High School will be involved in the production. Joining the “Theatre-Kids” will be members of the choir and band, along with those coming from the drill and dance teams bringing their dancing coordination.  Make sure and watch out for Ivy Shocklee...she's good!
