One Direction released two albums in 2012 -- their debut, 'Up All Night' and their follow-up, 'Take Me Home.' And guess what? They're readying to release yet another record before 2013 wraps up, just in time to stuff your stockings with it.

Louis Tomlinson revealed to The Daily Star, “We've already started recording the album, we started about a month ago. We've been writing and recording it while on tour. We are really happy with it. We don’t want to rush it but it will be out for Christmas.”

An insider revealed that the group's strategy is basically to strike while the iron was hot. “There was talk about the boys taking some time off before the next album but it was decided to release the record while they are so popular," a source said. "The band are going from strength to strength so it would be silly not to have an album out in time for the profitable Christmas market.”

Tomlinson and his bandmates, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik, have been pairing up to collaborate, then recording their angelic vocals while they're on tour. (They have portable studios traveling with them.) This means the guys pretty much never stop working. “We have the film coming out as well so we are all pretty shattered," Tomlinson admitted, "but we are all having a great time."
