We all know the famous arcade and video game Pac-Man -- you know, where the scary, pulsating Pacman killers chase you as you try to eat all of the yellow/white orbs?

Well according to reports, Merv Griffin Entertainment is teaming up with Namco Bandai Games America, who owns the Pac-Man brand, to develop an unscripted reality-type game show series based on the  popular video game.

The Pac-Man reality series is envisioned as a "big, crazy Wipeout-type event with a lot of energy," said Merv Griffin's president of TV Roy Bank. "The idea we have is to take what Pac-Man is and bring it to life, to bring what is essentially the world's biggest game of tag to television." Bank is executive producing the project, which is now being taken out to the broadcast networks, with David Russo, who brought the idea to him.

No details have been confirmed yet as to what the show will actually be like, or when it will air, but I can just imagine how this will turn out as a reality show game. As long as I don't have to eat giant yellow orbs, I think it would be fun!

Will you watch this if it airs?  What are your fun ideas for the show?
