6ix9ine's supporters are coming through in big numbers. A petition established for the rapper that seeks to convince a judge to allow him to be freed on bond has surpassed its initial goal of 25,000 signatures in less than a day and is closing in on its secondary goal of 50K.

The petition was put into motion by TWG Inc. on Saturday (Dec. 29). Its objective is to request Judge Paul A. Engelmayer grant Tekashi bail, which would allow him to go home until his trial date begins on Sept. 4, 2019, where he will face federal racketeering and weapons charges. Engelmayer has yet to establish a bail for the rapper.

"This petition is made in regards to Hip Hop international Artist Daniel Hernandez stage name (Tekashi 69)," the description for the petition reads. "His Family , Fans , Friends & Supporters hope that the judge can grant this young man bail so he can get back with his family & continue to make great music for his fans while he fights this legal battle. Let’s show that this Rainbow hair rapper is a non threat to any community but is loved for all that he has done & the positive impact he has on others. We thank everyone for your love & support."

As of press time, the petition has over 42,000 signatures.

In the event that a bond is accepted, 6ix's lawyer Lance Lazarro has put together a bail package worth $1.5 million in the hopes of convincing the judge to let his client go for the time being.
