Phillip Phillips, Gym Class Heroes and many more celebrities joined forces on Nov. 15 for MTV's live Restore the Shore benefit to raise money for the coastal towns of New Jersey, which were ravaged by Hurricane Sandy.

The 'American Idol' winner was introduced by host Sway Calloway and offered a touching solo acoustic performance of his hit single, 'Home.' With thousands of families displaced by the storm and a long road to rebuilding New Jersey's shore towns, Phillips' tune held new meaning.

Gym Class Heroes also pitched in at the hour-long benefit, performing 'The Fighter' live. In addition to the musical sets, the cast of 'Jersey Shore,' Britney Spears, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams, Nicki Minaj, fun., One Direction, Taylor Swift and more supported the cause with special live and recorded messages, encouraging fans to donate to the cause.

"Whenever you think of the Jersey Shore, you either think of that TV show, or you think about the beautiful boardwalks, the gorgeous beaches, or the fact that my mom grew up in Atlantic City, and she remembers the diving horses and Ventnor [Pier] and all these beautiful places," Pink said in a previously recorded clip. "Please do whatever you can to restore this beautiful memory that, for most people in Seaside Heights right now, is just a memory."

Fans can still donate to the 'Restore the Shore' effort by visiting RestoreTheShore.MTV.com or by texting SHORE to 85944 to make a $10 donation.
